Self Defence Training (Manikarnika)

Manikarnika
Self Defence Techniques and Awareness Workshop For School & College Going Girl Students

I have experienced many incidences since my childhood as a girl child and that is a story that every girl must have atleast encountered within her life span. But the Martial Art Training has helped me boost my confidence to handle such situations.
Looking at the situation of not only Bundelkhand region but the entire nation of increasing Crime against women, this needs to be taken forth and atleast make our Girls prepared for the future world ahead by teaching them Self Defense Tricks to empower themselves.
This was the idea at PRAGATI to initiate The Campaign “Manikarnika” where 4000+ women from all ages and categories are keeping safety in their own hands and empowering themselves with the #Tactics of Self Defense #Goodtouch #Badtouch and #POSH (Prevention Of Sexual Harassment) Act for women.

AIPC Jhansi in association with Pragti Social Development Society and Dainik Jagran organized Manikarnika from 24 th January – 18 March 2020 in and around Jhansi City. The aim of this event was to make the Girl Student to defend herself rather than call for help. During the course of workshop we covered approximately 45 schools and colleges and trained more than 3900 Girl Students in self defence martial arts. These institutions included the likes of Jhansi Para Medical College, Jhansi Women Polytechnic and Jhansi Industrial Training Institute (ITI)

Since then we have kept in touch with all these institutions and the Girl Students we trained and we have been getting calls for a rerun and also training in advance techniques as well as Self Confidence Building workshops. We are eager to pick up this thread again.
