Women’s Sanitary Awareness

At Pragati Social Development Society, we are dedicated to addressing the critical issue of women’s sanitary awareness. We understand that access to menstrual hygiene and proper sanitation is not only a matter of health but also a fundamental human right. Through our initiatives, we aim to break taboos, raise awareness, and provide women with the knowledge and resources they need for a dignified and healthy menstrual experience.

Project “Pad Yatra” was our menstrual hygiene project for one year, where reusable sanitary napkins were distributed to 500+ rural women to create awareness for both health and hygiene for the entire year.

Our Commitment to Menstrual Health

Menstrual health is an essential aspect of women’s overall well-being. Unfortunately, stigma, lack of awareness, and limited access to menstrual products have left many women and girls vulnerable to health risks and societal exclusion. Pragati Social Development Society is committed to changing this narrative and creating a supportive environment for all women.

Our Initiatives

Education and Awareness

We believe that knowledge is the first step towards empowerment. We conduct workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns to educate women and girls about menstrual hygiene, dispel myths, and promote open conversations.

Access to Sanitary Products

Many women lack access to proper menstrual hygiene products. We strive to provide affordable and sustainable options, ensuring that every woman has access to clean and safe menstrual products.

Empowerment

Beyond physical health, we focus on empowering women to take control of their menstrual health. By providing information, resources, and support, we enable women to make informed choices.

Safe Spaces

Creating safe and private spaces for women to manage their menstrual hygiene is crucial. We work to establish clean and accessible sanitation facilities in schools, workplaces, and communities.
